The Secret behind the Masks

Venice…the city of love, romance and carnival. After several months of hard work filled with great imagination, the spirit of Venice moved in The    Archeological Museum in Sofia on Friday night. Over 500 well known business, social and public figures together with artists, socialites and journalists gathered amongst the majestic ancient artifacts to witness a show called “The Secret Behind the Masks”. During the show 20 Bulgarian celebrities walked down the catwalk in pairs, dressed in luscious Venetian themed dress up costumes, wearing extravagant Venetian masks.

Once all couples walked their walks in a creative, mystic and emotional atmosphere, all spectators joined them on stage where one by one they all started to take their masks off. Orlin Goranov and Kristina Dimitrova dazzled with vivacious orange costumes, Maria Ilieva coloured the stage in red – her over the top scarlet dress was like a magnet for all who were there to witness it and Vasil Petrov was the passionate Casanova always seen with a rose in his hand. Gala, Andrei Batashov, Yoanna Bukovska and the rest of the stars all went down the stairs in a regal way to show their smiling faces to the already impatient public.

At the end of the show, 3 of the masks used by the celebrities were auctioned. All money raised during that auction will be donated to “Scena Balkani” foundation which supports young talents in the arts. This cause was the main reason for all the celebrities to participate in the charity event waving any fees.
